Exciting things are happening to the Jeep lineup, as the automaker is introducing the all-new 2017 Jeep Compass to drivers across the globe. Among its updates and improvements, the Compass is sharing a full suite of technology features and amenities that make travel more comfortable and connected. This includes implementing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™.
The all-new 2017 Jeep Compass is available with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™. Drivers have the choice between the available 7-inch and 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreens that can be integrated with the infotainment systems.
What can you do with Apple CarPlay?
When drivers connect their iPhones to the Jeep’s Uconnect system, they can utilize Apple CarPlay as well. The system offers access to most of the apps drivers use most on their phones, so they can stream their favorite songs from Apple Music, request turn-by-turn directions from maps, reply to messages and perform voice commands with Siri Eyes Free.
How to use & connect to Apple CarPlay
There are three main ways to utilize Apple CarPlay features – Siri, touchscreen and controls. To utilize Siri, simply push and hold the talk button on the steering wheel and wait for the signature double beep before making a command. Drivers can use the CarPlay-compatible Uconnect touchscreen to press the apps and tools they wish to access. CarPlay can also be accessed through the controls alongside the Uconnect screen.
